Milwaukee Public Schools outpaced the nation and the state in the rate of students completing their FAFSA, with 59%.
For seven weeks this summer, Native students attended math, science, and cultural classes and took educational field trips.
The students cared for and worked with their lambs for months to prepare the animals for the show ring at the State Fair.
The 33 metro high schools featured in the exhibit include six MPS schools: Bradley Tech, Golda Meir, Hamilton, Vincent, Marshall, and MHSA
Activities, such as learning the Oneida robin dance and lacrosse and other Indigenous games, round out lessons on Wisconsin’s tribes and their culture.
The MPS Student Toolbox offers resources for students in four-year-old kindergarten through grade 12, organized by name, grade level and resource category.
