Kindergarten Enrollment

Apply now for the 2019-2020 school year.

School assignments will be identified in Late March, and parents will be notified in Early April.

Milwaukee Public Schools offers a host of Kindergarten programs, including Developmental Bilingual, Dual Language, Arts focus, Head Start, Language Immersion, Montessori, Technology focus, and traditional classrooms.

Kindergarten pathwayMPS Kindergarten Pathway

Kindergarten for three-year-olds helps children get excited about school and learn classroom routines. Caring teachers guide learning through movement, art, music, play, and group activities. In four-year-old kindergarten, caring teachers help children have fun with skills like counting and recognizing letters. Classroom routines build good habits and children learn to recognize the feelings of others around them. Five-year-old kindergarten prepares children for first grade and beyond. Through positive work, play, and learning, caring teachers help students take on new challenges and respect others.

  • Immediate Enrollment (2019-20 school year) -- ongoing
  • Kindergarten Enrollment (2019-20 school year) -- Feb. 1 - Mar. 1, 2020
  • Fall Registration (2020-21 school year) -- Jan. 25- Aug. 1, 2020
  • Middle/High School Early Admissions (2020-21 school year) -- Sept. 28 - Nov. 2, 2019
