Fall Enrollment

MPS has specific time periods to enroll students who will enter middle school, high school, or kindergarten for the fall semester of each new school year.

Use the links on this page to enroll students during the time frames listed below.

High School: High School Enrollment takes place in October and November each year. Students who are enrolled during this time period have a better chance of being assigned to their first-choice school. If you miss High School Enrollment, use the links on this page to enroll your student from February 6 to August 1 prior to the new school year.

Kindergarten Enrollment takes place around February each year. Students who are enrolled during this time period have a better chance of being assigned to their first-choice school. If you miss the Kindergarten Enrollment period, use the links on this page to enroll your student from April 1 to August 1 prior to the new school year.

If your child attends an MPS school, he or she will automatically be re-enrolled for the next school year—you do not need to re-enroll. NOTE: If your child is in the top grade of their school (grade 5 in a K–5 school or grade 8 in a K–8 or 6–8 school), you must select a middle or high school for fall and follow the enrollment steps.
