The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee offers programs in a number of MPS high schools across the city. Learn more about how BGC supports students in becoming college and career ready through its College Access and Career Development programs.
College Possible provides college coaches to students in eight high schools in MPS and supports student enrollment and completion of two- and four-year colleges. Learn more about College Possible and how it supports students.
The First Nations Studies College Access Program supports postsecondary attainment for students who identify as Native American. Learn more about the First Nation Studies College Access Program support services provided to students to transition through high school and beyond.
Marquette University Educational Opportunity Program (MU EOP) supports first-generation and low-income students from pre-college through graduate education. The MU EOP Pre-Colleges Programs are in a number of schools across MPS. The MU EOP includes Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math and Science, Educational Talent Search, and College Bound Scholars.
Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is a two-year institution that offers more than 170 degree, diploma, and certificate programs. MATC has numerous four-year transfer partners, including pathways through guaranteed admission agreements with four-year colleges and universities. MATC offers dual-enrollment courses to MPS students through Start College Now, transcripted credits, and the M3 College Connections program. Learn more about Milwaukee Area Technical College.
The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Precollege Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence (PEOPLE) started in 1999 with sixty-six high school students from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The PEOPLE program serves students in grades 9 through 12 in seventeen MPS high schools. Learn more about UW–Madison's PEOPLE program.
The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM) is one of the nation's top research universities with more than 190 academic programs. UWM provides opportunities for MPS students to take dual-enrollment courses in which students earn both high school and college credit through the Early College Credit Program, transcripted credits, and the M3 College Connections program. The Wisconsin GEAR UP program supports students in grades 6 through 12 with the goal of high school graduation and preparing for and succeeding in postsecondary education. The Wisconsin GEAR UP program is in a number of schools across MPS. Learn more about the Wisconsin GEAR UP program.
