Montessori Summit

Register for the Montessori Summit today!

Saturday, February 9, 2019 1 – 4 p.m.

  • Montessori Teacher Training – The Montessori Institute of Milwaukee (AMI accredited) and Seton Montessori Institute (AMS accredited) will provide information and training resources.
  • Parking – Park in the Juneau playfield parking lot directly across from MacDowell on Mt. Vernon Ave. across from the school.
  • Childcare – Camp MacDowell will serve a snack and host activities for school-aged children. Parents will be asked to sign children in/out and provide a photo ID.

1 – 2:30 p.m. Glass Classroom Observation

Tour glass classrooms staffed by teachers and students from MPS Montessori schools. See what a typical day is like in the Montessori environment at all levels — primary, lower elementary, upper elementary, early adolescence and high school. Trained MPS Montessori teachers will be on hand in Question and Answer rooms to provide additional information and to answer questions.

2:45 – 4 p.m. Breakout Sessions

  • Montessori 101 – This session is for new or prospective parents and will provide an overview of the primary materials and methodology for Montessori curriculum
