Date assignments will be emailed directly to school principals via Smartsheet for confirmation. This Learning Journey takes place Mondays through Fridays from January through June in Google Classroom. The Survive Alive House program coordinator, Ramona Santiago, will email a Google Classroom code for your virtual Learning Journey within a month of your assigned Learning Journey date. Teachers should join the Google Meet to participate in livestream Learning Journey program only on their assigned date. The livestream will be led by a Survive Alive House educator. Livestreaming will not begin until all classrooms are present in the assigned Google Classroom.

Teachers can access instructional materials, pre- and post-trip activities, and assignments in the assigned Google Classroom. Teachers are required to implement all curricular materials associated with this Learning Journey. All curricular materials for this Survive Alive House Learning Journey are located in a designated Google Classroom. This Learning Journey implements a curriculum and instruction (C&I) framework and an academic and career planning (ACP) framework to ensure that students develop skills not only for academics but also for professional development. The C&I framework provides standards-aligned instructional materials for teachers at each grade level.

Yes! Teachers are required to include their Learning Journey program and instructional materials in their academic and career plan for administrative approval. This Learning Journey implements a curriculum and instruction (C&I) framework and an academic and career planning (ACP) framework to ensure that students develop skills not only for academics but also for professional development. The ACP framework emphasizes holistic learning objectives in career awareness (K3–grade 3), career exploration (grades 4–8), and career planning and preparation (grades 9–12).
