Admissions

Admissions is the process of applying and gaining admittance to a college or university. Each school has its own process to apply, so go to the school's website or contact the school's Admissions Office to find out what the specific requirements are. 

 

Here are a few resources and links with tips for applying to college and what to do after you have been accepted:

 
Basic requirements to be admitted:
Open AllClose All
  Four-Year College or University
  • Grade point average (GPA) that meets or exceeds university's minimum GPA
  • ACT or SAT score
  • High school diploma
  Technical/Community College
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Placement test (Accuplacer)
  Apprenticeship
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Accuplacer or similar test
  • May need a driver’s license
  Military
  • High school diploma
  • ASVAB
  • Good physical shape
  • Be at least 17
