Language Summit

The Milwaukee Public Schools Language Summit celebrates culture, diversity, and language. This event showcases the success of our bilingual, dual language, immersion, English as a second language (ESL), First Nations, and world language programs. 

Learning a second language can be a valuable career strength. With the demands of the current workforce, a second language can lead to a job that is competitive and rewarding. MPS bilingual and ESL programs maintain a student’s native language while acquiring a second language. MPS immersion schools are some of the best in the nation, with French, German, Italian, and Spanish options. World language programs allow students to learn a second language in elementary, middle, and high school.

Students in MPS schools speak more than 80 native languages. Please enjoy immersing yourself in their cultures and languages!
