Meal Program Updates

The Department of Nutrition Services continues to support academic achievement by providing students with high quality, nutritious meals, with an emphasis on exceptional customer service and financial responsibility.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

The Department of Nutrition Services is looking forward to serving free breakfast and lunch to all MPS students. This school year we have changed our menu offerings to provide students with more options; all students will have more than one lunch entrée to choose from every day. We encourage all students to participate in our meal programs and try something new this year.

Summer 2024 Food Service Program, free summer meals for kids are provided across the city!

This summer, save time and money by letting MPS provide free meals for your kids! Milwaukee Public Schools will sponsor the Summer Food Service Program to make meals available for children age 18 and under. All children (regardless of the school they attend) can receive free meals at locations that participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

Meals will be available at MPS locations that provide Milwaukee Recreation summer programming, which includes Summer Camps, CLCs, Safe Places, Twilight Programs, and select Boys and Girls Club locations. Meals will also be provided at the following MPS summer programs: Club Rec, Music Camp, Extended School Year (ESY), and Summer Academy.

Meals must be eaten at the program location and are not intended for carryout.
