Teacher positions are posted until filled. Teacher applications are sent directly to the schools and school-based teams evaluate the resumes and other materials and should include the following:
- Letters of recommendation
Newly graduated teachers must submit a letter from the institution of higher learning that confirms they have completed the requirements and are ready to be licensed.
Prior to starting in the schools, all new MPS educators must complete the New Educator Institute - a one-week training program that covers curriculum, classroom management, special education and Human Resources information.
