Project Metro
Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is actively seeking to attract and retain the most dedicated and talented urban teachers, administrators and classroom support staff. The ideal candidate must be willing to be part of a school-wide effort to improve the achievement of the children of MPS. MPS is an improving urban district with award winning and specialty schools that offer innovative curriculum options. Hiring the best staff for our schools is critical to improving student learning. We offer a variety of career opportunities with benefits, mentoring and professional development. All applicants must be eligible for licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
MPS seeks educators who share the district’s commitment to excellence in urban education. If you are ready to be an urban educator who prepares students for life-long success, MPS offers rewarding career opportunities, ongoing support of your professional development, and clear career tracks for upward mobility.
Are you committed to preparing students for lifelong success?
PMAC is an innovative teaching certification program designed to address areas of need within Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). PMAC interns combine a two-year teaching experience with master’s-level coursework at Cardinal Strtich University and receive support from a selected Professional Educator (Coach). Interns fill teaching positions in the District and receive first year teacher pay and benefits.
