As part of the Office of Operations, the role of Facilities and Maintenance is to maintain the buildings and grounds of Milwaukee Public Schools in order to provide a safe, clean and well-maintained environment that is conducive to learning.

Facilities and Maintenance strives to maximize the use and efficiency of the district’s facilities by providing timely and cost effective repair and maintenance to ensure school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, sanitary and comfortable, while effectively managing contract and regulatory compliance requirements based on district standards.
