What do all successful students have in common? They attend school on time every day! Being in school every day is critical for skill development and academic success. Attending every day also promotes strong relationships with teachers and classmates that can boost confidence and make learning more fun. This is why MPS is leading a district-wide attendance initiative called Attend today. Achieve tomorrow. We sincerely want every student to achieve and graduate on time.

Part of this initiative will ask every student to know their attendance number—the number of days they have been absent each month. Every student is charged to monitor their attendance so they miss no more than one day per month. Our schools are planning celebrations for those students who succeed at improving their attendance. And of course, students win when their grades improve and their behavior contributes to a healthy classroom environment.

Join us and Attend today. Achieve tomorrow. MPS is teaming up with Milwaukee sports teams, elected officials, local musicians, and businesses to encourage students to be in school.
