MPS Hosts New Educator Institute

This annual event helps teachers who are new to MPS find their way and have a successful year. Read more about this important event. Welcome, new teachers!

New School Year to Begin with Virtual Learning

MPS will reopen in a phased-in approach. In Phase 1-Virtual Learning, teachers will facilitate live whole and small group instruction as well as individual support online. During Phase 2-Hybrid, instruction will be provided both face-to-face in school and online. In Phase 3, face-to-face instruction will be provided in school with a virtual option. The district will monitor public health conditions to determine movement between each phase.

The district will follow two approved school calendars, with schools on the early start calendar beginning on August 17, 2020, and schools on the traditional calendar beginning on September 1, 2020. Both calendars can be found on the MPS website.
