Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3 - 7
This week, thank a teacher! MPS is proud of our teachers who have adapted to virtual learning, supported students, and designed new methods of teaching. Many families have learned that being a teacher is hard work!
Post on social media, send a card or a friendly note to your child's teacher, or design a creative way to say thank you.
MPS has created a teacher appreciation frame families and students can share on social media. Make sure to use the hashtags #MPSProud and #ThankATeacherMPS on social media so the district can share your messages. You can also share your messages with the Department of Communications & Marketing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We want all teachers to feel appreciated for their exhausting work during the pandemic.
Thank you, teachers!!

Family Engagement Sessions: To help students and families prepare to go back to school, MPS hosted information sessions about preparations and procedures in schools to keep everyone safe and healthy. Sessions were recorded and videos can be viewed on the Roadmap to Readiness website.
Pooled Testing: As a reminder, small groups of students and staff will be tested for COVID-19 using pooled testing. In a pooled test, as many as 25 people will be sampled and the test swabs will be sent as a group to a lab. This is a fast and efficient way to monitor classrooms. Families will need to sign a consent form--please ask your school for details.
