Kindergarten Enrollment Is Open until March 21, 2021

Will your child turn 3, 4, or 5 years old by September 1, 2021? It's time to enroll for Head Start and kindergarten! Learn about MPS schools and how to enroll. Read more about enrollment.

Celebrating Abilities Family Forum

The annual MPS forum to support families with special needs students will be virtual this year. Join in hour-long workshops each night March 8-12 to hear about important resources and supports. Download a flyer with information and registration links.

Textbook Review

Family and community members are invited to review and offer feedback on textbooks under consideration for next school year. Books will be available to browse in person at North Division and South Division high schools February 24 to March 12. Registration is required to limit the number of participants in each time slot. Access the registration form and note the columns for the correct school; click on a tab at the bottom of the document to select a date.

Register Now -- Student Job Fair

The annual MPS Student Job Fair will be virtual this year. Students age 16 and older can visit with employers, learn about careers, and find out how to apply for summer or part-time employment. Drop in from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Sign up for the MPS Student Job Fair!

Free Fresh Produce for Children Continues in March

MPS will continue to offer bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to children in March through the federal Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. Each bag will contain nutrition facts and recipes so families can cook together and enjoy new healthy food options. Learn more on the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program web page.

Families can pick up a produce bag March 4, 11, 18, and 25 at Stop, Grab, and Go locations during regular meal distribution hours of 11:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.

Lois Womack Receives Teaching Award

Congratulations to Lois Womack of Marvin Pratt Elementary School! Womack is one of five Wisconsin educators named by State Superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor for the 2020 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. The award is considered the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government for math and science teachers. Read the story of this prestigious award.

8th Graders: Apply Now for PEOPLE!

The PEOPLE program provides support throughout high school so students are on a pathway to a University of Wisconsin college. Participation includes scholarship opportunities. Applications are due March 5, 2021. Learn more about the PEOPLE program!

Summer Academy Registration Is Open

Get ready for Summer Academy! Visit for all the details.

Grades K5-8 can take part in a six-week camp with weekly themes in art, music, math, science, and literacy. Session runs June 22 to July 29 from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Middle and high school students can catch up on credits or get ahead. Two sessions are available: June 7-July 2 and July 6-29 from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

Need Money for College? Fill out the FAFSA!

The first step in finding money for college is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application is free and will reveal what loans and grants may be available to students. Read more about FAFSA and special workshops on Feb. 17 and 23 to help you fill out your application. Help is available to students through MPS College and Career Centers or download a flyer for more information.

Each week, we feature four new virtual field trips to add variety to learning. Enjoy activities and tours of factories, parks, and zoos around the world!

No Meal Distribution March 19

Extra Meals March 18

MPS does not distribute meals to students on scheduled days off. Breakfast, lunch, and supper will not be distributed on Friday, March 19, 2021.

Children can receive extra meals on Thursday, March 18, ahead of the break. All children age 18 and under can receive an extra breakfast, lunch, and supper meal.

Chromebook Support

If your student's Chromebook is not working properly, do not try to repair it yourself. Email the MPS Technology Support Center at immediately or call (414) 438-3400 . Please include a phone number, school name, student name and ID number, and description of the problem in the email so we can contact you.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal Technical Support

Live Parent Portal (Infinite Campus) support is available from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.
