The Milwaukee Board of School Directors could approve a contract for superintendent search services as soon as the Board’s Aug. 29 meeting.

The Board’s Committee on Accountability, Finance, and Personnel has recommended that the Board enter into a contract with Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates for superintendent search services. The action came at the committee’s meeting on Tuesday, August 20.

“This step keeps the district on track for the selection of a permanent superintendent,” said Megan O’Halloran, who represents District 8 on the Milwaukee Board of School Directors.

“Additionally, the district intends to seek input from the community and other key stakeholders as part of our search process.”

The selection of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates follows a comprehensive review of vendors to conduct a robust, national search for a permanent Superintendent of Schools.

Additionally, the Board is pleased to announce that the position of Financial Reporting Manager has been filled. The role, as part of the larger administrative team, is critical to the financial integrity of the district.
