The Office of Accountability and Efficiency (OAE) will be a resource to all stakeholders and strive to enhance operational efficiencies by building a collaborative and coordinated accountability and compliance program that accommodates the distinctiveness and complexities of all district activities.
The Office of Accountability and Efficiency (OAE), under the guidance of the Senior Director, works as a collaborative team to improve district performance in order to manufacture and sustain lasting improvements. In order to enhance district performance, the office generally oversees and assists with the facilitation of numerous performances management initiatives designed to result in both significant non-instruction and instructional cost savings for the district. The major focus of these efforts is centered on non-classroom operations like facilities, maintenance, transportation, food service, and procurement.
Often the office also assists the district administration with improving instructional activities such as textbook monitoring and academic research. Furthermore, the office assists with the annual development of a system-wide five-year financial forecast that culminates with independent recommendation to further the fiscal stewardship of MPS. As a direct result of these fiscal sustainability efforts, the district is better positioned to free up resources that help improve academic achievement.
