Letter to Golda Families - Lead Testing Update for Golda Meir Lower Campus

Dear Golda Meir Families,

In our continued efforts to keep the Golda community informed about lead testing on campus, we’re sharing an update regarding the latest inspection at Golda Meir Lower Campus.

Last week, the City of Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) conducted lead clearance testing across the school. While 10 areas passed clearance, two locations required additional cleaning and retesting. MHD completed those inspections over the weekend, and we expect to receive the results within the next several days.

The safety of our students and staff remains a top priority, and we are hopeful the improvements we’ve made will reflect a clearance from the health department. MHD will continue to assess conditions and work with MPS until all safety requirements are met.

In the meantime, we are continuing with ongoing maintenance at Golda Meir Lower Campus and following through on all recommended actions to alleviate health concerns.
