Title ID

The purpose of Title ID is to improve educational services for neglected, delinquent, or at risk children and youth by providing them with the same opportunities as other students in Title IA programming.

Eligibilty:

• State-licensed residential childcare institutions, located within school district boundaries, must have locally funded regular education programs in which the students are enrolled 20 hours a week to be eligible to receive funding for Title I, Part D, supplementary programs.

Federal Neglected and Delinquent funds are used to:

• Improve the educational services for children and youth so they have the same opportunities to meet the same challenging academic content and student achievement standards that others are expected to meet.
• Provide services to enable children and youth to transition back into the school community or employment
• Prevent at-risk youth from dropping out, or returning to correctional facilities or institutions for neglected or delinquent children and youth.
