With student and staff safety in mind, MPS schools will operate virtually for the week of January 4–7. Important updates are now available.
During the history of the program, Milwaukee Recreation has now served over 500 total interns. High school students have collectively earned more than $450,000 from nearly 55,000 hours of work in the Milwaukee community.

Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Khris Middleton and UnitedHealthcare delivered about 210 new coats to Robert M. LaFollette School to ensure students are safe and warm this winter.
Students at Carver Academy received pizzas delivered by teachers, staff, and the principal for high attendance. Congratulations!
The Department of Strategic Partnerships and Customer Service is responsible for ensuring the business community, our community partners and district families have a single point of contact to facilitate meaningful interactions with the district to enhance student academic success and the well-being of students, families and our staff.

The mission of utilizing volunteers in MPS is to maximize the academic learning and personal growth for all students by having volunteers assist teachers, provide enriching experiences, and contribute to creating safe and welcoming learning communities.
Families play a vital role in the education of their children. MPS works with parents and families to ensure they have the tools needed to be equal partners in supporting student achievement and school improvement. When families and schools work together, students are more successful and the entire community benefits.
