School supplies are filling the store shelves, and back-to-school ads will be appearing soon. This is a perfect time to organize a school supply drive! Milwaukee businesses, faith-based communities and community members are invited to collect school supplies so MPS students have the tools for a successful school year. Become a partner with the Department of Strategic Partnerships and Customer Service and help students prepare for the new school year with your support of the MPS School Drive through September 9.
Here are three ways you can support this year's drive:
1. Donate filled backpacks with:
- (4)Spiral Notebooks
- (4)Pocket Folders
- Crayons (24 ct)
- Washable Markers (8 ct)
- Colored Pencils
- (2) Black or Blue Pens & (2) Red Pens
- (2) Pink Rectangular Erasers or pack of pencil top erasers
- (2) Glue sticks
- (2) Highlighters
- Looseleaf paper
- Supply Pouch
2. Donate any type of school supplies at any quantity.
3. Provide a monetary gift for backpacks and school supplies.
Consider making a monetary donation for $25, $50, $100, $500 or an amount of your choice.
