At Stuart, children come first. Stuart is an IB Candidate School whose staff is committed to academic excellence. The school achieves excellence by providing a relevant, rigorous, and inquiry-based program that is student-centered and based upon the Wisconsin state standards and the IB six disciplinary themes. The availability of technology, such as SMART Boards, document cameras, and Chromebooks, allows students to compete in the 21st century. The school's full-time ESL program serves the diverse student population. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged through the school engagement council, PTO, and classroom volunteers. The school's Camp Stuart before- and the after-school program provides child care and homework help. The Stuart School community successfully provides all students with rigorous, high-quality learning opportunities that will allow students to perform at or above grade level in all subject areas and prepare them for success in middle school and beyond.
