About
Project STAY is an alternative school offering a nurturing and challenging education to 250 high school students, ages 16–20, who are at risk of dropping out of a traditional high school. Students apply for Project STAY and are accepted based upon the definition of "at risk" under Wisconsin state law. All courses offered to students have a ratio of one teacher and one assistant per 25 students in each class. Students are enrolled in a morning or an afternoon session to complete their courses. Students may enroll in an all-day session on a merit system once they have shown an attendance rate of at least 80 percent and have passed all their classes in that quarter.
