About
Fifty-Third Street School is committed to collaborating with parents, staff, and the community to ensure that every child is educated and provided with standards-based interventions when needed. The school utilizes data to design appropriate instruction and assessments that provide students with the tools necessary to achieve a high level of proficiency and advanced status while preparing them without remediation for high school, college, and, ultimately, a career. The school is committed to the goal of working to make certain that every student becomes a proficient or advanced reader, writer, communicator, and problem solver across all content areas. The school offers programs designed to meet a wide range of education needs. Continual academic progress is expected as all children become productive, efficient, responsible citizens. Students learn to exhibit positive behaviors by demonstrating strength of character in attitude and behavior.
