Milwaukee Board of School Directors announces superintendent choice

Dr. Brenda CasselliusFollowing an extensive search that included more than 50 applicants, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors has announced their choice for the next superintendent. The district extended the offer to Dr. Brenda Cassellius, former superintendent of Boston Public Schools, who accepted. 

The three candidates spent time in the district on February 6 and 7, meeting with students, staff, families, and community members. 

More information about all three finalists can be found on the Superintendent Search page on the MPS website. More details about the superintendent transition will be shared in the coming weeks.
