Members needed for Advisory Committee for Textbooks

TextbooksDo you have a passion for science? Help select science textbooks for MPS students!

MPS is seeking family and community members to review science textbooks and learning resources and make recommendations for selection. Members will receive links to sample textbooks online in December and take part in four to six weekly meetings beginning in February. Scheduling will be determined by participants.

Two committees will be formed, with one group focusing on K–8 textbooks for general science, biology, chemistry, and earth science. The second group will evaluate grade 9–12 textbooks for AP biology, IB biology I & II, botany, anatomy, and physiology.

The recommendations of the Advisory Committee for Textbooks will be forwarded to the MPS Curriculum Specialist Committee, and the final recommendations will go to the Milwaukee Board of School Directors.

Sign up to join and offer important feedback about future science textbooks.
