Make wishes come true for teachers and students on GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesdayOn the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the subsequent Tuesday is celebrated as Giving Tuesday. The day is a benchmark time to spread kindness through acts of generosity by donating time, money, goods, and advocacy to support your community and causes that are meaningful to you.

The MPS Foundation accepts gifts for many individual MPS schools and programs. This year, with the support of generous donations from the community, the Foundation supported schoolyard renovations, scholarships for graduating seniors, science and career training expansions, school supplies, virtual learning support, and more.

Log in to the MPS Foundation to make a gift directly to MPS students!

This GivingTuesday, from November 30th, 7:00 AM EST until December 1st, 3:00 AM EST, all live, approved projects will receive a 50 percent match. That means a $10 donation will become a $15 donation, a $40 donation will become a $60 donation, $100 becomes $150, and so on. Donors Choose hosts classroom requests from teachers so interested donors can browse projects, select a favorite, and easily contribute to classroom supplies, equipment, books, teaching aids, and technology.

Milwaukee Public Schools currently has more than 250 school projects posted on Donors Choose. Easily browse MPS requests by visiting the MPS page on the Donors Choose website. As you scroll through the projects, you’ll be able to see how much has been donated and how many dollars are needed to fund the request entirely.
