MPS seniors—join Smart Start!

Wahington High School StudentAre you an MPS graduating senior planning to attend MATC or UWM? Join Smart Start!

Smart Start is a program of support to help students navigate their first semester of college beginning during the summer after graduation. Get help with admissions, access support over the summer, and have a great first semester.

Smart Start is offered through M3 (pronounced M-Cubed), a partnership among Milwaukee Public Schools, Milwaukee Area Technical College, and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. M3 partners are working to improve success for students in reaching their college and career goals.

Why join?

  • Make friends and connect to other MPS graduates
  • Get support from a Success Coach this summer and fall
  • Learn how to pay for college
  • Grow your skills so you can graduate from college on time
  • Go on fun trips throughout Milwaukee
  • Start a campus job early to earn money for college
  • Smart Start is free to join
  • Learn how to receive up to $500 for participating
