MPS congratulates Spelling Bee winners in grades 3–5

MPS Spelling Bee BannerMilwaukee Public Schools students in grades 3–5 faced off on Saturday, May 14, to find the best spellers in the district. Winners were crowned for each grade level. The event was hosted by Adriana Mendez and Cassandra McShepard of TMJ4 along with Jennifer Mims-Howell of MPS.

Grade 3

First Place: Aiden Polivka, Lowell
Second Place: Oriana Figueroa Iglesias, Escuela Vieau
Third Place: Grace Witczak,  95th street

Grade 4

First Place: Joseph Lanaghan, Humboldt Park
Second Place: Arielle Harris, 95th Street
Third Place: Ra’Nyah Spell-Liggans, Marvin Pratt

Grade 5
First Place: Naychi Moe, Lowell
Second Place: Julian Perez, Escuela Vieau
