Join a Community Conversation

Community ConversationAs part of a multi-year effort to improve school climate and culture and to bring equity to discipline practices, MPS will host Community Conversations to get feedback about district climate, disciplinary procedures, and supports provided to students. Milwaukee students, staff, families, and community members are invited to take part to offer opinions and suggestions.

Milwaukee Public Schools has taken positive steps to redesign the district code of conduct, evaluate procedures, and realign disciplinary measures. To continue to refine practices and increase transparency, MPS has scheduled meetings on February 9, 2022 and May 4, 2022. All meetings are from 6:00–7:00 P.M. and will take place virtually. The event on December 1, 2021, will be an overview of the district code of conduct followed by small focus groups to consider recommendations and updates.
