It’s Teacher Appreciation Week—thank a teacher!

Celebrate Teacher Appreciation WeekThis week, thank a teacher! MPS is proud of our teachers who have adapted to virtual learning, supported students, and designed new methods of teaching.  Our teachers found new ways of supporting and encouraging students and designed new methods and activities to engage children. Thank you!

Even in a normal school year, teaching is a balancing act of academics, safety, behavior, and student needs. The pandemic added new layers of complexity, but MPS teachers found ways to engage with their students through social media, Google Classroom, online learning, and more.

Post on social media, send a card or a friendly note to your child's teacher, or design a creative way to say thank you.

MPS has created a teacher appreciation frame families and students can share on social media. Make sure to use the hashtags #MPSProud and #ThankATeacherMPS on social media so the district can share your messages. You can also share your messages with the Department of Communications & Marketing at comm@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.

Thank you to every one of the more than 5,000 teachers who work for MPS! Our students, families, and the community appreciate the dedication and hard work that teachers put in every day. We encourage the entire Milwaukee community to thank our amazing teachers!
