Help celebrate 50 years of Montessori education in MPS!

50 years of MontessoriJoin us for an exciting afternoon celebrating the past, present, and future of Montessori education in Milwaukee! MPS opened its first Montessori classrooms in 1973, and since that time, the program has grown to eight schools serving about 4,000 students each year.

Saturday, February 10, 2024
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

MacDowell Montessori School
6415 W. Mount Vernon Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53213

Free and open to the public!

  • View children in action in a K3–K5 classroom. Chat with teachers and ask questions.
  • Students in grades 1–6 will lead demonstrations using Montessori materials.
  • Students in grades 7–12 will present projects on business and economics.
  • Enjoy music and dance performed by students.
  • Attend special presentations from community leaders at 3:00 p.m.
  • Share your Montessori story in our on-site recording booth.
  • Connect with fellow alumni.

Parking – Park in the Juneau Playfield parking lot directly across from MacDowell on Mount Vernon Avenue.
