Summer Academy will be here before we know it! Sign up now to reserve your spot. MPS has summer programs for students in K5 through grade 12. Summer programs are free for students living in the city of Milwaukee; students living outside the city of Milwaukee can attend by paying a fee.
Elementary students (K5–grade 8) can participate in a five-week summer learning camp. Summer Academy Camps will be held June 26–July 28. No classes on July 3–4. K5–grade 8 students attend Monday–Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Students in K5 through grade 8 will take part in a five-week program designed to strengthen skills, expand knowledge, and offer new experiences through hands-on activities, field trips, and special programs with community partners. Some sites offer bilingual, English as a Second Language, or Montessori programming. Childcare is available at some sites for a full day of fun!
Middle school students have a number of summer options. Students in grades 6–8 can attend Summer Academy Camps (see the Elementary description above). Middle schoolers can also attend programs for students in grades 6–12. Students entering grade 9 have access to many of the available high school programs. Dates and times vary by program.
High school students can enroll in credit recovery to repeat a class or take a course for the first time. Options are available in English language arts, math, physical education, science, world languages, career and technical education, and more. Returning this year: College 101 courses that earn both high school and college credit!
