Celebrate summer in Milwaukee with first-ever Family Scavenger Hunt

Milwaukee Recreation is hosting its first-ever Family Scavenger Hunt this summer! Explore Milwaukee with your family, friends, or team to earn points for each challenge you complete. Teams with the highest number of points at the end of the scavenger hunt will be eligible to win a prize!

Some challenges will require you to travel to Milwaukee Recreation locations, while others you will be able to complete from the comfort of your home. Examples of several missions include solving riddles, dressing up as a team in themed attire, or answering fun trivia questions. This is a great way to connect with our city, celebrate summer with your family, and engage in new activities!

Family Scavenger HuntParticipants will use a mobile app to view challenges and track progress. All missions are completed by submitting a photo, video, or check-in through the mobile app. Please note that a smartphone or mobile device is needed to participate in this activity. There is no additional charge for the app beyond the initial Milwaukee Recreation registration fee to participate in the scavenger hunt.

The first Family Scavenger Hunt will take place June 3-12! A second scavenger hunt will be available in August (both sessions will have the same list of scavenger hunt items).

Only one person from each team/family needs to register for this activity for you to receive the information prior to the start date. Each team can move through the scavenger hunt at its own pace; there is no central meeting location for participants. Directions will be emailed to all participants prior to start of the scavenger hunt.

Scavenger Hunt Information:

  • First Event: June 3-12
  • Second Event: Aug. 12-21
  • Cost: $8 for city of Milwaukee residents/$12 for non-residents
