Vaccines help prevent against childhood illnesses such as measles, mumps, chicken pox, polio, and more. Summer is the perfect time to make sure children are up to date on vaccines. It’s also a great time to schedule a physical exam required for participation in sports.
All MPS schools begin Tuesday, September 3. Make sure your child goes back to school protected from childhood illnesses.
Answers to many questions about vaccines can be found on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website or the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Immunizations for childhood diseases are available to city of Milwaukee residents who qualify. Visit the Milwaukee Health Department Immunization Clinic Services page for hours, locations, and eligibility.
