Attend the MPS High School Enrollment Fair on Sept. 28, 2024

Pick your program and apply to your high school! Students in grade 8 should explore MPS high schools now and make their choices for this important transition.

Rufus King StudentsFamilies and students can find information and get help applying to the school of their choice at the MPS High School Enrollment Fair. The fair will be held on Saturday, September 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd.

MPS has multiple programs across the district for college prep and in career areas such as arts, automotive, technology, engineering, health care, music, skilled trades, manufacturing, culinary arts, and more.

To find a high school that best fits your needs, visit How to Select a School on the district website and select by location or program. To find open house events at high schools, find a listing on the High School Enrollment page. Enrolling now offers your best opportunity for a chance at your first-choice school—some schools fill up quickly!

For enrollment, visit the How to Apply for High School Admissions page. All students will apply through an online form. Families new to MPS will need to provide the student’s 7th grade report card, 7th grade attendance record, and standardized test scores. Students will also be required to submit an essay in response to a reading selection. Current MPS 8th-graders will complete this requirement in school during the month of October.

For more information, please call the Department of Student Services at (414) 475-8159.
