PARA ED ASST (2021-2022) SCHOOL TO WORK/CATP

Paraprofessionals are hired to the STWTP/CATP, rather than a specific school or community site. Consideration for staffing needs and strengths may result in site adjustments.  Paras are responsible for supporting the vocational education plans established by the work site teacher.  Duties are highly dependent upon the worksite and therefore, flexibility is a must. Para professionals will model universal work skills as well as job-specific duties.  Timeliness, patience, dependability, strong ethics and commitment are among the primary universal work skills desired.  Extensive walking and some lifting may be necessary.  Para professionals are responsible for recording observation notes for the teacher’s incorporation into progress reports and performance profiles for students. Proficiency in Milwaukee Public Schools technology systems is required (email, phone, Outlook Calendar, One Drive, etc.).
