It will take more than good luck and best intentions to pay for college. You need a plan of action, and it should include College Goal Wisconsin!
College Goal Wisconsin is affiliated with a national event that provides free information and assistance to families who need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) the federally required form for students seeking financial aid, such as grants and loans. Completing the FAFSA is the first and most important step in qualifying for aid.
The MPS College & Career Centers are hosting four College Goal Wisconsin events this fall:
Wednesday, October 23, 2019 - MPS Milwaukee School of Languages
Monday, November 4, 2019 - MPS South Division HS
ALL EVENTS START PROMPTLY AT 6 P.M.
Students should attend with a parent or guardian if possible and bring specific materials necessary to complete the FAFSA (see "What to Bring" at www.CollegeGoalWI.org).
If parents are unable to attend, students may attend alone and bring these materials.
Independent students should bring their own income and asset information. IF you are still uncertain of what items to bring and show up, we can begin a FAFSA as long as the student knows his/her/their social security number, if they have one.
Please note - end time is indicated only due to facebook event creation requirement; start time for all events is 6 p.m., and those arriving closest to 6 p.m. will find the event most helpful, as each event kicks off with an informational presentation.
