High School Transportation Regions

Selecting High Schools in Your Transportation Region

HIGH SCHOOLS

Northside Attendance Area HS

To receive bus transportation for these schools, students must meet all of the following requirements:

- Must live more than 2 miles from school

- Must live outside of the school's attendance area

- Must live north of Lincoln Avenue

Southside Attendance Area HS

To receive bus transportation for these schools, students must  meet all of the following requirements:

- Must live more than 2 miles from school

- Must live outside of the school’s attendance area

- Must live south of Capitol Drive

Citywide HS

To receive bus transportation for these schools, students:

- Must live more than 2 miles from the school.

Transportation is provided as follows:

  • Attendance Area School — You must live more than two miles from the school, in the school’s region (N or Lincoln or S of Capitol), and outside of the school’s attendance area to be provided transportation.
  • Citywide School — You must live more than two miles from the school to be provided transportation.
  • Charter School — Check with the school. Charter schools set their own transportation rules.

Students eligible for transportation either ride a yellow bus or receive a weekly bus pass for Milwaukee County Transit System. Students may have to walk up to 1/2 mile to a yellow bus stop. See the individual school listings for more information.
