UPDATE: Important message for MPS families whose children take MCTS for summer programs.

In light of the potential for further disruption due to the MCTS job action, yellow-bus transportation will be available for students who have been using the transit system to get to summer school programs. The service will begin Monday, July 6 and run through Friday, July 10 — or longer if needed. You should have received a postcard this weekend with information on your child’s bus stop. Your child’s summer school can also let you know the location of your child’s bus stop. Read more.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment

Public school open enrollment is a statewide program that allows students to attend public schools in districts other than their own if seats are available. No transportation is provided unless the child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that specifies that transportation must be provided.

You begin the process by contacting the school district that interests you or through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Public School Open Enrollment page.

The open enrollment application period for the 2014-15 school year ended on April 30, 2014.

For more information, call (414) 475-8353 or visit the Wisconsin DPI website.
