MPS provides transportation at no cost for STEM Fair schools to transport participating students to and from Miller Park on set-up (April 11, 2018) and fair (April 12, 2018) days. Buses typically pick up students between 8:00 and 9:15 a.m. each day and return them to school between 11:15 and 11:45 a.m. on set-up day and after the awards ceremony (1:45-2:15 p.m.) on fair day.
We will soon begin the process of obtaining competitive bids and securing a contract for STEM Fair transportation. As this can be a lengthy process, we need to know your transportation needs for these days by Friday, February 2, 2018.* Please fill out the form below. For fair day, schools can choose whether they would like their students to come to Miller Park to set up their projects, or whether a teacher will drop them off sometime prior to 2:00 p.m. On fair day, schools that choose to ride the bus will automatically be scheduled for both pick-up and drop-off. After the transportation contract has been secured with the bus company, we will let you know more precise pick-up and drop-off times for your school. Schools will be grouped in triads and share buses with two other schools. It is extremely important that schools are ready at their assigned time in order to prevent delays in arriving at Miller Park.
*Schools that do not respond by this deadline will not be guaranteed transportation for the STEM Fair.
