These lesson plans were created for Milwaukee Public Schools schoolteachers for Indian Summer Education Day and are the property of Milwaukee Public Schools and First Nations Studies, Milwaukee Public Schools.
The Title VII Student Eligibility Certification form allows First Nations students to have additional academic services through First Nations Studies Program. Some services include: Classroom academic assistance, tutoring, special education support, language revitalization classes, summer camps, parent workshops and support, district & community cultural workshops, assistance with authentic cultural resource materials, after school reading program, information on resources available to First Nations families, assistance to teachers on incorporating culture in the classroom, Lacrosse and language revitalization classes.
- Wisconsin Act 31 is a set of statutory requirements put in place as a guide for all school districts in the state of Wisconsin. Wisconsin Act 31 is meant to support teachers and educators on how to integrate culture into the curriculum and how to collect and utilize authentic First Nations instructional materials.
