The MPS College and Career Centers are here for you this summer! 


The College and Career Centers will be open this summer to help students transition from high school to the next step in their lives! Scroll down to see information about our hours, locations, Senior Send-Off celebration, and summer events.

Registration for Senior Send-Off is now open! Register on the SSO Registration Form

Come celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2019 at Senior Send-Off! Class of 2019 graduates and families are invited to Senior Send-Off on May 30 at Washington High School. This celebration will include free food, games, and dorm prizes for the graduates in attendance. To register, please fill out the 2019 Senior Send-Off Registration.

  College Squad

This summer, MPS CACCs will be hosting a series of College Squad meet-ups. These events are for the Class of 2019 graduates to meet and start making connections with current students at the college or school they will be attending in the fall. If your college is not listed here, please contact us to see what support we can offer you this summer. To register to attend, please fill out the College Squad registration.

  HBCU Networking/Panel

This event is for MPS graduating seniors who plan to attend an HBCU. Students from Riverside and Rufus King who will attend the fall HBCU tour are also required to attend this event. The panel will be composed of HBCU current students and alumni. To register to attend, please fill out the HBCU Networking and Panel Registration.

  CACC Pre-College Summer Series

The MPS CACCs will be hosting a series of Facebook Live workshops for graduates, rising seniors, and their families. Please see the different types of workshops below:

June 11
11 a.m. – 12 noon
Loan Counseling This event is for graduated seniors and their parents. Students will learn how to review their financial aid award letter and understand the loans that are offered to the student(s)/parent(s). 
June 18
11 a.m. – 12 noon
FAFSA  Rising seniors and parents will get an overview of completing the FAFSA and reason for completion.
June 25
11 a.m. – 12 noon
Financial Literacy This program is open to all students. High school students will learn about money basics: budgeting, checking and savings, power of credit, and investments.


  Summerfest Visit Day and UWM Bowling Event

These events are for UWM students to continue to build relationships throughout the summer with visits to Summerfest and to UWM for bowling.

May 8 — Seniors attending a historically black college or university: The MPS College and Career Centers will host an HBCU Squad networking and dinner event on Wednesday, May 15, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Rufus King High School in the cafeteria. Students and parents will meet past MPS HBCU alums and connect with other Class of 2019 students who also plan to attend an HBCU. Please fill out the HBCU Squad Networking and Dinner Registration.

May 13 — Seniors who will be attending UW-Milwaukee: The College and Career Centers will host a #SquadUWM meetup and dinner event May 14 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at UWM’s Sandburg Flicks space (the Sandburg building is located at 3400 N. Maryland Avenue; Sandburg Flicks is located off the Sandburg lobby). Have fun and food with other Class of 2019 students who will be your classmates at UWM! Please fill out the #SquadUWM Flicks Meetup Registration.

The MPS College and Career Centers will have four locations open this summer:

Hamilton High School
Milwaukee High School of the Arts
Rufus King International High School
South Division High School

Week of May 20:

All CACCs will be closed the week of May 27.

CACC Marshall: Monday, closed; Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
CACC Reagan: Friday, closed.
