The overall goal of Physical Education in K5 through Grade 8 is to develop awareness of the importance of physical activity. As children increase their physical ability in Grade 2, their physical education class encourages them to stretch themselves and meet new physical challenges.
Motor Skill Development
Demonstrates competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities.
Demonstrates understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities.
Participates regularly in physical activity.
