Retirement Health Benefits
Below you will find documents and information related to our health insurance benefits for retirees, including the current open enrollment booklet for retired members only, and other helpful information regarding your benefits program. If you have questions regarding your benefits, there is additional customer service support for all our benefit eligible employees and retirees through Patient Care. You can call Patient Care at 1-800-640-1898, Monday-Friday between 7 am and 8 pm, CST or Saturday between 8 am and 1 pm CST, or visit them online at www.patientcare4u.com/mps to assist you with your benefits questions. In addition, Medicare eligible retirees can contact our dedicated United Health Care Group Medicare Advantage plan customer service line at 1-866-487-9303 between 8 am and 8 pm CST, seven days a week, or visit UHCRetiree.com for specific information about our group Medicare Advantage plan.
NEW for 2017:
Administrators and Supervisors Unit (ASC) will be offered the PPO plan!
Effective 1/1/2017, non-Medicare retirees and non-Medicare dependents in the ASC unit will have all of the MPS health plans available from which to choose! During Open Enrollment, they can select any of the plans or make no changes and remain in their current plan. To compare coverage of the health plans, please review Appendix A: Health Plan Design, beginning on page 34 of your open enrollment booklet.
New Life Insurance Provider!
On July 1, 2016, The Standard Insurance Company became MPS’s new carrier for life insurance!
All beneficiary information for eligible retirees has been transferred and therefore; at this time, there is no action required by you.
Look for a mailing with information pertaining to your retiree life insurance in November/December 2016. This mailing will contain information regarding coverage and contact information for The Standard Life Insurance Company and should be retained for your records.
