WHAT ARE MEDIA ARTS?

Media arts, as defined by the National Endowment for the Arts, include screen-based projects presented via film, television, radio, audio, video, the Internet, interactive and mobile technologies, video games, transmedia storytelling, and satellite as well as media-related printed books, catalogues, and journals.

What might media arts look like in the K-12 setting? How can they be taught and integrated into the classroom? This series of videos will help teachers explore media arts and assist implementation.

ISTE Standards address the 21st Century Skills that Educators and Students should be prepared to do as they engage with ever evolving technology.
