School Nutrition

The Nutrition Fund is specific to all nutrition related activities.  These activities include not only breakfast, lunch and dinner served to students, but also adults and seniors through various after school programs.  The majority of the revenue received for these activities came from Federal Food Service Aid (90%) and Donated Commodities (6%).   Operations are expected to generate sufficient revenue to cover cots.

The district receives Federal Food Service Aid for all individuals who qualify for free or reduced lunch, due to their current economic status.  As a result of these funding sources, the Nutrition Department is a self-supporting arm of the district and their expenses should not be included in the cost to educate a student.
