MPS hosts student job fair

Student at Job FairTo match up local employers with student job seekers, Milwaukee Public Schools will host its first-ever job fair on March 14, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Student Union. Approximately 1,000 students are expected to attend in search of summer and year-round work.

Employers can register at https://tinyurl.com/jobfair2018registration.

Space at the job fair is free and includes one parking spot and a light lunch. An area will be available for on-site interviews. For questions and registration information, contact Heather Aschoff at employMPSstudents@milwaukee.k12.wi.us

Students who complete a Work Readiness session at their school are eligible to attend the job fair. Work Readiness sessions help prepare students to fill out job applications, interview, and be ready for the world of work. Students can speak with their career champion or stop in any College and Career Center with questions. Bus transportation will be provided for students to attend the job fair thanks to a generous donation from the Al Hurvis/ADAMM Education Foundation and ADAMM.

The UWM Student Union is located at 2200 East Kenwood Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53211.
