MPS hosts first Alternative Certification Fair for aspiring teachers

Alternative Certification Fair

Milwaukee Public Schools' Office of Human Resources is excited to host the first Alternative Certification Fair. The event is for para-professionals, substitute teachers or any individuals aspiring to become a teacher. Members of local colleges and universities as well as Alternative Certification programs will be on hand to share the opportunities they offer prospective teachers.

North Division Campus (1011 West Center Street - 3rd Floor); limited secure parking is available at the fenced lot at the back of the school

Thursday, March 1 from 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Participants will be able to make personal connections with programs and determine which program best fits them. Aspiring teachers will be able to ask questions and find out about support offered by the programs - including the ones they may not advertise. In addition to meeting with program representatives, attendees will be able to network with others and begin building relationships as prospective teachers.
